| Zoul Bahshoomti is the outcome
of a relationship among musicians representing underground urban / island subculture from
Hawaii. The music is a mix of free form funk, dub, hip hop, percussion, and electronica.
It features drums, bass, guitar, turntables, congas, MC and some synth frequency bending.
Its origin is unique and spiritual. Its
people have and cultivate original styles with organic and urban (concrete) elements. It
goes from a cool ride to a fat + serious interlocking of rhythms exploring beautiful,
colorful, strange, deep dark realms. A true reflection of the youth
culture coming to grips with this turning point in music and culture in general and making
something that marks a subtle but definitive change in styles. This is what's going on not
only in Hawaii but universally and its creeping up through the cracks and holding strong. Check it out! |
